Gift art for my dear friend ~sayurikemiko, one of the first friends I made here at dA. She has been keeping me supplied with beautiful music, awesome comics, art, and most importantly, inspiration ever since.

This is her OC Vera, with friend Snape. Vera is startled and delighted when a curious squirrel scrambles down the tree to have a look at them. Snape looks on, bemused and a little saddened at his friend's easy delight with the world around her, a world he privately perceives as a much darker place.

The figures are horribly elongated, especially Snape. I kept him that way to illustrate a gangly, awkward teen, all knees and elbows
