I Miss My Friend Kim

Kim was an artist's model. Her husband was a notable painter and did many paintings of her. He died suddenly, and she was left alone to make her way in the world. Although I count her as one of my best friends, I knew that she had to leave this part of her life behind. I waved goodbye when she boarded the bus for South Carolina, and never saw her again. I often think of her fondly, and I know she thinks of me the same.
