note - sketch inked in with micron pens. I love 'em but don't use oil paint medium over these - the ink degrades, and can muddy the colors. Even when they said 'OK for water media' etc, oil mediums break them down which makes sense, but of course I had to learn the hard way

one reason I joined dA is to become more productive, so not submitting something at least once a week is frustrating. But that's what happens when I paint. I just inked the drawing on canvas, have successfully reduced Snape's height to less than 9 ft; have learned that Lily's eyes are 'almond shaped' so they're wonky right now, and will hopefully be able to make the paint correct other stuff . . . I think it will be a challenge to make the angel less insipid, reduce the Venus de Milo thing I accidentally did. It's not a religious painting as much as a payoff to a favorite character that never got any breaks.
